Headache in the top of the head and dizziness that occurs when you turn your neck from side to side
symptom
He has had pain on the top of his head for the past four or five months. The area of pain is "about the size of a raincoat's plate."
The pain is present every day, and its intensity varies from day to day. When the patient makes small movements of the neck from side to side, the patient experiences a lightheaded dizziness. In addition to the headache and dizziness, the patient feels stiffness throughout the neck, and believes that the cause may be the neck.
The patient's headaches were relieved by chiropractic treatment or massage, but the effect was only temporary. The patient felt anxious because they did not know the cause of the headaches. The patient came to our clinic after finding symptoms similar to those of our patients.

Treatment and progress
Palpating her neck, I found that her entire neck was stiff, just as she had noticed. I also found that the muscles supporting her neck (erector spinae) and the muscles in front of her neck (sternocleidomastoid) were very tense. I thought that the muscles supporting her neck (erector spinae) were restricting neck movement due to the sluggish movement of her shoulder blades, so I applied acupuncture to the acupressure points on the inner edge of her shoulder blades. At this point, she noticed the effects, saying, "Huh? My headache is starting to get better..." I then used acupressure points on her arm to target the front of her neck (sternocleidomastoid). Then, even when she turned her head left and right a little quickly, the lightheaded dizziness disappeared. I used acupressure points on her back to improve the remaining headache, and acupressure points on her buttocks to loosen her shoulders, and the first treatment concluded.
At the second visit, one week later, the dizziness had improved to the point where it was barely noticeable. The headache only occurred about two days out of the week. As a result of the same treatment as the first time, by the third visit, one week later, the headache had improved to the point where it was barely noticeable.

Summary
Headaches and dizziness are often accompanied by tension in the neck and shoulders. During the consultation, I was told that simply relaxing the area only has a temporary effect, but the problem is how to find the cause of the stiff neck and shoulders. Also, when you relax the cause, even very stiff muscles often relax instantly in many cases. It can be said that the short-term improvement was achieved by adjusting the condition of the neck and shoulders, which are often the foundation of headaches.
