He is unable to stand up after sitting in a chair for long periods, and his lower back is stiff when he gets up. His job involves sitting in a desk for long periods, which is causing him difficulty standing up. Treatment and progress
The back pain had been ongoing for 3-4 months, and the pain occurred every time the upper body moved. The lower back pain started the day before, and it was thought to be caused by prolonged sitting. Acupuncture points on the back and neck were used for the back pain, and acupuncture points on the back and localized points were used for the lower back pain. After the first treatment, the back pain completely disappeared, and the lower back pain became localized. The second treatment focused on the localized area, and since the patient felt better, the treatment was concluded.
Acupressure points used
Summary
For long-standing back pain and acute lower back pain, a combination of acupuncture points on the back, neck, and local areas was used. The back pain improved after the first session, and the lower back pain was localized after the first session. In the second session, treatment focused on the localized area, providing relief, and the treatment was concluded. It is possible that prolonged sitting due to desk work contributed to the lower back pain, and early improvement was achieved by using acupuncture points on the back and neck, even for back pain accompanied by pain during movement. This suggests that acupuncture treatment may be useful in cases where no abnormalities were found in orthopedic examinations.
