I've had trouble falling asleep for the past six months.
symptom
I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder a few years ago. I've recovered now, but for the past six months or so, I've been having trouble falling asleep.
I've been unable to sleep until 2 or 3 a.m. every day, and I've been prescribed sleeping pills at a psychiatric clinic.
Since no other symptoms were observed, I focused on examining the patient's breathing and tension in the shoulders and neck.
Tension was observed in the interscapular region, so treatment was initiated with the aim of relieving the tension.

Treatment and progress
First, needles were placed in the upper limbs. Needles were also inserted into the back to relax the entire erector spinae muscle group.
Finally, acupuncture needles were placed in the buttocks and sacrum, concluding the initial consultation.
At their next visit, the patient reported that they were sleeping better on more days.
After undergoing the same treatment about three times, the patient reported being able to sleep with almost no problems.
We performed treatments about seven times to stabilize the patient's physical condition, and since no symptoms of insomnia were observed, we concluded the treatments.

Summary
The patient had difficulty falling asleep due to a psychosomatic disorder, but we believe that a relatively early recovery was observed through relaxation of the erector spinae muscles and interventions related to breathing.
