Discomfort in the left knee and pain on the inside of the right knee, lasting approximately 6 months.
symptom
While training for the ekiden (long-distance relay race), I started experiencing discomfort in my left knee about a week ago.
The discomfort persists whether standing or sitting, and I feel a sense of tightness around my kneecap.
Subsequently, pain appeared on the inside of the right knee during movement starting two days ago (the specific movement is unknown).
My training consists of running approximately 10km every day from Monday to Friday.
Medical history includes a left knee jumper's knee that occurred approximately two years ago.
The patient has not sought medical attention for these symptoms.

April 11, 2026 (4th time)
I visited the clinic for the first time in about six months.
During that time, he was able to continue training without any knee problems, and he reported that he was able to run in the ekiden (long-distance relay race) without any knee problems and achieved good results.
However, the pain in her left knee recurred a week ago, prompting her to visit the clinic.

Summary
A case of a runner who experienced discomfort in the left knee and pain on the medial side of the right knee.
Given the patient's history of problems and discomfort in the left knee, it was possible that stress concentrated on the medial side of the right knee due to unconscious efforts to avoid putting stress on it.
The treatment improved my symptoms, and for about six months afterward, I was able to live without any knee problems.
On the other hand, since a recurrence was observed, it was considered important to continue physical management rather than just relying on temporary improvement.
