A man in his 40s presented with pain in his left wrist. The symptoms had started a week prior, and while snow shoveling was considered the main cause, the specific trigger was unclear. The pain was localized to the little finger side of his left wrist, and a dull ache occurred during pronation and supination movements of the wrist. Tenderness was also observed in the affected area. In daily life, the pain was interfering with activities involving twisting the wrist, such as dressing and undressing, gripping and holding objects, using his hands to support himself when turning over in bed, and driving. He had not previously received any medical examination or treatment.

Treatment and progress
Upon initial examination, tenderness was observed in the affected area, and movement assessment revealed that pain was more pronounced during supination than during pronation. Treatment was first performed on related acupoints on the back, which caused the pain to shift further towards the little finger. Treatment then combined acupoints on the buttocks and back, resulting in the disappearance of pain during movement. After the treatment, the patient was pleased that the pain had subsided. There are no further follow-up reports, but the symptoms improved after the first treatment, and the treatment was completed.
