Treatment and progress
During the initial examination, no particular abnormalities were found in the range of motion, but tension was detected around the affected area. First, acupuncture was performed on acupoints in the calf, which reduced the symptoms by half. Further treatment on related acupoints in the lower back improved the condition. Finally, acupuncture on acupoints behind the knee eliminated the feeling of stiffness. The patient felt an improvement in their symptoms and appeared satisfied.

Summary
This case involved tension around the knee caused by the physical strain of playing soccer. By performing acupuncture in stages—starting with the calf, then the lower back, and finally the back of the knee—we were able to effectively alleviate the symptoms. This case highlights the importance of accurately identifying and treating the relevant areas when experiencing discomfort after exercise.
