Back pain that started while I was at work
symptom
The patient complained of pain in the right side of their back while at work. The symptoms began the day before their visit when they lifted an object while bent over and turned around, causing a sharp pain in their back. The pain was located on the inside of the right shoulder blade, and was a general throbbing pain, particularly sharp and intense at night and in the morning. By the time of their visit, the pain had subsided somewhat, but it had recurred when turning the steering wheel while driving or when stretching their back. The pain continued in their daily life and at work, interfering with their life and work. They had not received any diagnosis or treatment at a medical institution, and there were no other particular physical discomforts related to the symptoms.

Treatment and progress
Upon initial examination, a significant asymmetry was observed in the interscapular region, with greater stiffness on the right side. Tension was also present in the right lower back, causing pain when straightening the back and limited range of motion when rotating the waist to the right. Treatment involved using acupuncture points on the lower back to improve rotational movement, and selecting points on the neck and limbs to alleviate tension in the back. After the first treatment, the pain during movement decreased from a score of 10 to 3, indicating significant improvement in symptoms.

Summary
In this treatment, accurately alleviating the muscle tension that was causing the pain was effective in improving the symptoms.
