Left shoulder pain and difficulty lifting caused by a combination of a fall and a stiff neck.
symptom
Three days ago, I suffered a wrist contusion from a fall, and the following day (two days ago), a stiff neck developed, resulting in severe pain in my left shoulder. I felt pain deep in my left shoulder during movement, especially when lifting my arm. Although there was no pain at rest or at night, the range of motion was so limited that it interfered with putting on and taking off clothes. Initially, the pain and discomfort spread from my wrist down to my arm.

Treatment and progress
Initial examination revealed significant tension in the anterior chest, possibly due to a fall, and specific tension was also observed in the lateral neck. Based on these findings, acupuncture was performed on acupoints on the back and limbs related to the anterior chest. As a result, the range of motion in the shoulder improved, and pain during movement disappeared.

Summary
It is believed that the combination of a fall resulting in a bruise and a stiff neck caused excessive tension in the anterior chest and lateral neck, leading to shoulder pain and limited range of motion. Treatment of acupoints on the back and limbs relieved muscle tension, leading to symptom improvement. This suggests that even in cases of shoulder pain associated with trauma, early symptom improvement can be expected by appropriately relieving tension in related areas.
