I have difficulty breathing due to facial stiffness and chest pain.
symptom
For about 10 years, I have been experiencing persistent symptoms of shortness of breath, facial stiffness, and chest pain. Stretching the area around the right nostril makes breathing easier, but this causes facial spasms, making sustained stretching difficult. Additionally, opening the chest makes breathing easier, but this is accompanied by chest pain. These symptoms are constant, and the shortness of breath significantly impairs my daily life. I also experience fatigue.

Treatment and progress
Initial findings included dysfunction of the third thoracic vertebra, tension in the hypochondriac region, and induration of the anterior chest. Treatment was performed on acupoints in the hands, feet, and back, and approaches were made to areas identified by palpation. After the first treatment, improvement in dyspnea and disappearance of eye spasms were observed. Since chest pain persisted, treatment was continued, and acupoints in the buttocks and feet were added during the second treatment. By the third treatment, almost all symptoms had been alleviated.

Summary
In a case presenting with chronic shortness of breath, facial spasms, and chest pain, a systemic approach to treatment was implemented. Treatment of the hands, feet, and back was particularly effective, resulting in significant improvement after three sessions. Shortness of breath and eye spasms improved after the first session, and subsequent additional treatment of the buttocks and feet alleviated almost all symptoms, including chest pain. This case demonstrated the effectiveness of a stepwise treatment approach for the thoracic spine dysfunction and tension in various parts of the body that were causing the symptoms.
