Treatment and progress
Upon arrival at the clinic, the patient experienced severe neck pain, primarily concentrated on the right side, and exhibited significant tension in the neck, back, and upper shoulders.
Since the tension in the neck was particularly severe, acupuncture was performed on acupoints on the back, hands, and knees that are related to this area.
Next, because of the strong sensation of heat in the head and tension in the back of the head, acupuncture was performed on pressure points on the back.
After the treatment, the feeling of heat subsided and the excessive sweating also eased. The neck pain was reduced, although some remained, but it had decreased even further by the second treatment.
By the third visit, the feeling of heat in the head had disappeared, and the symptoms of excessive sweating had also eased.

Summary
This case involved a patient who, due to pre-existing shoulder stiffness and tension, ran, resulting in excessive tension in the back muscles and restricted neck movement. Gradual improvement was achieved through treatment aimed at reducing muscle tension and pain.
In this case, the relaxation of neck muscle tension improved blood flow to the head, resulting in a reduction of hot flashes and an improvement in excessive sweating.
