Pain in the front of the thigh when bearing weight
symptom
I'm a member of the volleyball team in high school, and I started feeling pain in the front of my thigh during a match four days ago.
The pain worsened as the matches progressed. However, after I started treating it myself with ice, compresses, and stretching, it mostly subsided.
I received a call because the condition recurred after participating in practice two days ago.
While there was no pain at rest, the pain was severe when weight was applied, and the lack of core stability led to decreased performance, which was a major concern.
Furthermore, I have not consulted any medical institutions such as orthopedic clinics.

Treatment and progress
Since the patient complained of pain in the outer part of the thigh when bearing weight, acupuncture was performed on related acupoints in the lumbar region.
Upon further examination, the pain had lessened but still lingered. Adding acupressure points on the back eliminated the pain during movement, so the treatment was concluded.
Acupressure points used
Summary
The patient experienced thigh pain when bearing weight, but by using acupressure points in the related lumbar and upper back areas, muscle tension was relieved and the pain disappeared.
Due to their young age, the treatment showed immediate results and was very effective.
