Acupuncture case study: "Pain in the index finger similar to tenosynovitis" (Higashi-Muroran Station)

As someone working in the equipment industry, I've always had hand and arm problems, but they weren't severe enough to require hospital visits, and I was able to manage them on my own. However, for the past few weeks, my entire index finger has been painful. It's particularly difficult to grip things, and I can't put any strength into it. I've been using compresses, but there's been no improvement. After searching online, I found that the symptoms were similar to tenosynovitis, so I consulted you.

Treatment and progress

To address the movement of the entire index finger, acupuncture was performed on points along the thoracic vertebrae and the outer edge of the scapula. Adding exercise afterward improved the condition by about 7%. When gripping, some tension remained on the radial side, so acupuncture was performed on related points in the upper shoulder, which resolved the tension.
