Knee pain diagnosed as a lateral collateral ligament injury
symptom
Ten days ago, I injured my right knee by twisting it during cheerleading practice. Afterwards, I went to an orthopedic clinic and was diagnosed with a "mild lateral collateral ligament injury." My anterior cruciate ligament was fine, but I was told there was a slight tear in my meniscus.
I was told the pain would subside in a week, but it hasn't gone away, and I've been trying to protect the area, which has caused my whole body to stiffen up. I'm in a vicious cycle, so I contacted you.

Treatment and progress
In addition to tenderness at the site of injury, the patient complained of pain when bearing weight.
Upon examination, I suspected that the tension behind the knee was severe and restricting movement, so I applied acupuncture to that area.
Since both the tenderness and the pain upon weight-bearing disappeared, the treatment was concluded.

Summary
Although a diagnosis had been made, what I focused on was the connection with the back of the knee. When the tension in this area was released, the movement improved and the pain disappeared.
