Shoulder pain after training
symptom
Ten days ago, I overexerted myself during a personal training session, and since then, the pain in my shoulder has worsened, and my shoulder movement has been restricted. I'm also concerned about a grinding sound in my joint, and even applying pain patches hasn't helped. Although it doesn't significantly affect my daily life, this pain is negatively impacting my performance in my hobby, golf, so I contacted you.

Treatment and progress
Upon checking the range of motion, some limitation in lifting was observed, particularly in lateral lifting.
First, acupuncture was performed on points in the lower back to restore the body's axis. Next, acupuncture was performed on points in the back to address the issue. As a result, the patient was able to perform the movements they had been able to do before. When rotating the shoulder, pain remained on the posterior aspect of the shoulder joint during shoulder extension and external rotation, so acupuncture was performed on corresponding points in the back, which restored the movement.

Summary
This is a case where we aimed to improve movement. Because it was shortly after the onset of symptoms and the patient had a regular exercise routine, we were able to proceed smoothly.
The key point was releasing the tension in the back and lower back that is involved in shoulder movement.
