Tinnitus that sounds like an air conditioner and hearing loss
symptom
I went to the doctor that same day because I started experiencing tinnitus that sounded like an air conditioner.
Sounds are louder in the right ear.
Hearing tests revealed a decrease in hearing, primarily in the low-frequency range, in the right ear. (The red line in the data image represents hearing in the right ear.)

Treatment and progress
First consultation. Acupuncture was performed on points on the back to relieve tension in the neck muscles, which are affecting the condition of the ears.
Next, to further relieve tension in the neck, acupuncture needles were inserted into pressure points on the hands, and finally into pressure points on the feet.
When hearing was measured again after the treatment, the hearing in the right ear had slightly improved.
Second visit (2 days later). The patient reported that the discomfort in their ear had disappeared and their hearing had returned to normal after the first visit. Since tension was also observed in the shoulder muscles, acupuncture was performed on acupoints in the buttocks.
After the procedure, hearing was measured and found that there was no difference in hearing between the right ear (red line) and the left ear (blue line) in the low-frequency range, so the procedure was terminated.

Summary
Because the treatment was performed on the same day the ear problem appeared, we were able to see an improvement in hearing immediately after the treatment. At the second visit, both the patient's subjective symptoms and hearing test data showed recovery. This is an example that reinforces the understanding that treating ear problems is a race against time.
