Postpartum tendonitis
symptom
I am three months postpartum, but I started experiencing symptoms of tenosynovitis two months ago. Just moving my thumb was painful, and it was difficult to pick up or grasp objects. At first, I focused on stretching and icing, but recently even stretching has become painful, and because of that, I've become reluctant to even ice. So I searched for ways to treat it and came across this clinic.

Treatment and progress
As I examined the patient's back, focusing on the movement of their thumb, I noticed significant tension in the back. I then inserted needles into specific points on the back, which shifted the location of the pain slightly towards the palm. I then added needles to related areas. The patient reported feeling that the pain had "become half as bad," so I focused on the shoulder stiffness and inserted needles into corresponding points on the buttocks. Finally, I used needles on points on the clavicle to release tension in the wrist, which the patient reported as "almost completely gone," so I concluded the treatment.
The second time, the patient reported that "it's slightly improved but is feeling good." I instructed them to continue with the same treatment and monitor the progress.
Acupressure points used
Summary
Postpartum tenosynovitis can make housework and childcare difficult. Acupuncture can help regulate movement by addressing the body's habits and tensions during treatment.
This is a case where improved movement led to a significant reduction in pain.
