Sciatica that makes you want to sit down after 10 minutes
symptom
Standing for 5 to 10 minutes causes severe pain, making me want to sit down. Bending over is also painful. Until the recent symptoms appeared, I was confident in my legs and hips, but the pain suddenly appeared a month ago and has continued. My work involves standing and carrying things, so I can't get much done.
After a week had passed and the symptoms had not improved, the patient visited an orthopedic surgeon and was diagnosed with sciatica. He was prescribed painkillers, but they did not seem to be working, so he stopped taking them. The patient was referred to our clinic by a colleague at the same company.

Treatment and progress
The pain spread from the right buttock to the calf, with the buttock and calf being particularly painful. Even standing for a short time during the consultation caused pain. Standing for a few minutes became painful. There was no pain while sitting. Palpation revealed strong tension in the buttocks and lower legs.
He said that twisting his waist to the right and bending backwards were particularly painful. Considering his symptoms, acupuncture was administered to the acupressure points on the lower back and the outside of the hip joint to relieve tension in the buttocks. Next, acupuncture was administered to the acupressure points on the sides of the lumbar vertebrae to relieve tension in the lower limbs. After leaving the needles in place for 10 minutes, he was told that the pain had decreased compared to the beginning.
Second time: As the pain had eased a little, in addition to the previous treatment, acupuncture was also performed on the acupressure points of the thighs and shins to relieve the tension in the lower back and buttocks, and the treatment continued.
Sixth session: Up until this point, I had been receiving intensive treatment twice a week, but the initial pain had subsided, so I switched to once a week. The pain from just standing has decreased, and I no longer feel the tingling sensation while standing and talking.
10th session: The remaining pain in the buttocks has subsided and the patient is feeling good. The pain has also disappeared, so the treatment was completed.
