Treatment and progress
As the pain was in the buttocks and shoulders, we investigated the relationship and found that there was limited external rotation of the hip joint and tension in the posterior deltoid muscle, so we addressed this by using acupressure points on the calves. Next, tension was found in the lower back, so acupuncture was administered to that area, which almost completely eliminated the discomfort in the buttocks. At this point, the symptoms had almost completely disappeared when sitting and standing. As for shoulder movement, pain was felt on the inner edge of the shoulder when moving it inward and outward, so by addressing acupressure points on the back, the pain during movement was eliminated.

Perhaps because the patient came to our clinic quickly after the onset of symptoms, the treatment was able to proceed smoothly. The key to this case was the proper use of acupressure points. It is not that we focus only on the shoulders because the patient has shoulder pain, or on the buttocks because the patient has buttock pain. By listening to the details of what happened and understanding the patient, we can sort out what is happening in the body and narrow down the necessary acupressure points. Patients are not satisfied just because they have received acupuncture needles; it is the smile of true satisfaction that is there when their worries are relieved.
