For the past six years, between March and May, he has had trouble concentrating on his work due to hay fever symptoms. His nose is stuffy, and he constantly has a runny nose and sneezes. His eyes hurt. His scalp and the back of his ears are itchy. His neck is very stiff, and he has pain in the back of his neck. He has been taking the over-the-counter allergy medication Allergyon, but it doesn't seem to be working. He was taking time off work due to his hay fever symptoms and severe headaches, and his family recommended that he come to see us.

Treatment and progress
After the first visit, the pain in the back of the neck was relieved, the nose was clear, and the hay fever symptoms were alleviated. Acupuncture needles were applied to maintain the effect. 2nd and 3rd visits: For three days, the hay fever symptoms were almost nonexistent. From around the fourth day, the patient experienced nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing, but was feeling better than before the visit. She is taking medication just in case. 4th visit: A week went by without a runny nose. There was a slight feeling of congestion in the back of the nose. Sneezing had decreased to a few times a day. 5th visit: We stopped the medication, but the symptoms were either gone, or at most, were about one-tenth of what they had been before, so we stopped the treatment. Two weeks later, the patient's family told us that they were symptom-free.

Summary
The back of the neck and shoulders feel blocked, heat builds up in the head, and hay fever develops. Adjusting the body to bring down the fever improves the hay fever. One patient commented, "This is the first time I've felt so comfortable during this time of year." Hay fever causes loss of concentration, which interferes with work and studies, so I hope acupuncture will help.
