Hay fever worsens when exposed to air conditioning or heating.
symptom
I've suffered from hay fever since I was in junior high school. I'm allergic not only to cedar pollen, but also to ragweed and house dust. My symptoms include itchy eyes, nasal congestion, runny nose, and sometimes, when it's severe, itchy deep inside my ears, and sometimes I can't sleep because my nose is so stuffy. When I came to the clinic, itchy eyes and itchy nasal mucosa were the most bothersome symptoms. My symptoms worsen when I'm exposed to drafts from air conditioners or heaters. I've taken medication in the past, but it causes drowsiness as a side effect, so I try to avoid taking it as much as possible.

Treatment and progress
First consultation: Muscle stiffness, characteristic of people with hay fever, was observed in the back of the head. Acupuncture was performed on points in the shoulder to relieve the tension.
Second visit: The patient reported no symptoms since the first visit and was in a stable condition. Treatment was performed to maintain this good condition.
During the 3rd and 4th consultations, I felt a slight itch in my right eye. I relaxed the tension in the area corresponding to the eye symptoms.
Fifth consultation: The itching in my right eye has subsided. I am not experiencing any other symptoms, so the consultation is concluded.

Summary
At the initial examination, significant stiffness was observed in the back of the head. It is believed that this stiffness hindered the circulation of heat from the head to the trunk, leading to itching of the mucous membranes.
Even if you don't consciously feel neck and shoulder stiffness, a physical examination often reveals characteristic areas of tension. By thoroughly loosening these areas, you can see an improvement in symptoms.
