Injured ankle after falling off a skateboard
symptom
Three weeks ago, he twisted his right ankle while falling off his skateboard and hurt himself. The pain gradually decreased, but at a certain point, it didn't improve much. It was only a little bothersome when walking, but the pain at the bottom of the stairs was uncomfortable. He had previously come to us for treatment for a stiff neck, so he came to see us again, hoping that this would help.

Treatment and progress
He said that he had pain around the outside of his right ankle and in his shin near his ankle, and that it was most noticeable when he went down steps.
When I checked the tension on the outside of my shin, which is related to my ankle, I found a stiff spot. I administered acupuncture to that area and checked my movements going down a step, and the pain went down from 10 to 7.
When I applied acupuncture to another area of tension on the outside of my shin, the pain went from 7 to 3. The pain in my shin near my ankle disappeared.
When I checked the acupressure points on my shoulders to adjust the movement of my ankle, I found stiffness on the right side, so after acupuncture treatment the pain went from 3 to 1.
Going down steps became much easier than at the beginning, so the treatment was completed.
Later, he contacted me and said, "I hardly notice it anymore, even when I'm under the stairs," confirming that the pain had subsided.

Summary
Treatment for an ankle sprain often involves resting and waiting for the injury to heal. However, this takes time and can cause the body to lose its balance during that time. This loss of balance can often lead to other problems.
Sprains can be treated by relieving tension in the affected area, which can lead to early recovery. This is one of the conditions for which acupuncture treatment should be actively implemented.
